The Gubin Forest District lies on the area of beautiful, scenic landscape. The lands are connected with a well developed road network There are large forest complexes within the scope of activity of the Forest District. Apart from the beautiful landscape, the Gubin Forest District can also boast its nature and touristic attractions. Because of the proximity of the neighbouring Germany, the Forest District is often visited by foreigners.

Worth seeing

There are many places worth seeing in the municipality of Gubin. One of them is a XIV century town hall, which has been the principal office of the local authorities for years. During the WWII the town hall was badly damaged. Its renovation took almost 10 years. Since 1986 the western wing of the building holds the Municipal Public Library, the Pedagogical Library and the Gubin Community Centre.

Program "Zanocuj w lesie"

Nadleśnictwo Gubin przystąpiło do Programu „Zanocuj w lesie”, który powstał w ramach kontynuacji założeń zawartych w ogólnopolskim pilotażu udostępnienia obszarów leśnych celem uprawiania aktywności typu bushcraft i surwiwal. Po ponad rocznym okresie trwania pilotażu, ankietowaniu osób korzystających z obszarów pilotażowych, zarządców terenu, rozmowach ze środowiskiem bushcraftowym i surwiwalowym ugruntowana została koncepcja przekształcenia programu pilotażowego w stały program pn. „Zanocuj w lesie”.
